Where is Chosen Care Group located?

Our offices are located at Cranbrook House, 61 Cranbrook Road, Ilford , IG1 4PG 

United Kingdom (about a minute away from Ilford tube station). Whilst most carer can complete their registration online, if you would prefer to visit us, you are more than welcome to arrange a time to meet a member of our team who can guide you through the registration process.

Are you registered to provide care services?

ll our offices are registered independently and are inspected by the relevant regulatory bodies of the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) and Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS).

Is my data secure with Chosen Care Group?

Your data is stored securely in accordance with strict GDPR guidelines. We never send your profile or personal details to the client without your express permission and you are always able to request the information we have on Chosen Care Group.

Payment & Fees
When will I be paid?

The employer decides what type of shift they post, but if it's a normal shift it will go through our payment process, which is on a weekly basis. Please ensure your timesheets are approved by Monday morning following your shift. This will guarantee you payment the following Monday (a week later). Basically you should always try to get your timesheet approved as soon as possible. Contact the employer and kindly remind them to approve your timesheet!

What are your carer rates of pay?

Each client sets their own rate of pay when posting shifts. CCG can sometimes advise the client how much to pay to attract the best carer but when you apply for shifts it is for the employer to decide how much you will be paid.

How much does a CCG care aide cost from Client?

The pay rate for CCG care aides differs based on geological location, job requirements and more.

Do you pay your carers or does the client?

CCG is a fully managed service so we pay all carers directly and manage all of the administration including the carer’s contract of employment, insurance and taxes.

Where do CCG carers work?

CCG has placements available across the UK, and we will never assign you to a placement. CCG carers have the freedom to choose which placements they attend by viewing then accepting them through our online portal.

Does CCG provide hourly work?

Yes, CCG provide hourly or shift work,

Does CCG accept male carers?

Yes, CCG works with many clients who require a male carer.

What experience do I need to become an CCG carer?

CCG carers must have professional experience within the care industry and must be happy to provide references and proof of any qualifications.

Do I have to be self-employed to work as a carer with CCG?

All CCG carers are self-employed. This means that you are responsible for your own taxes and National Insurance contributions. For information on being self-employed and registering with the HMRC please click here.

Does CCG take on carers of other nationalities?

Yes, if you are an experienced carer with clear, fluent English and have the relevant documentation to work in the UK, please apply.

How do I arrange home care for myself or a family member?

Chosen Care Group will be happy to talk through your requirements with you over the phone and then arrange a free no-obligation assessment which will normally be carried out in your home. We suggest that at this time you involve any family members you wish, who may have some questions of their own. Having discussed your needs and requirements we will then put together a package that suits your individual requirements and agree a start date.

Are your carer trained?

All our staff are trained to the national minimum standards required by the local regulatory bodies. Over and above these, staff are encouraged to undertake personal development and attend additional training courses. Specialist training courses are also provided to staff to ensure that they are fully trained to undertake more complex care needs.

Are your carer insured?

Yes, all our staff are fully insured for both personal and public liability.

Will I get the same carer on each visit?

Continuity is extremely important to us and to our service users and our carers are allocated to indivdiuals to ensure continuity is maintained at all times.

What if I need to change my care package?

Care Plans frequently evolve so we check regularly to ensure that the care, we are providing is still appropriate. We also understand that what you need from us may change from time to time. By regularly discussing and agreeing any changes with all concerned we can keep everyone aware of the need to revise the care plan. Any agreed changes will then be implemented.

Bear in mind that the Carer is also on call to help with any worries or concerns identified by the Carer or Family. As well as helping with changes need on the Care plan this should help prevent deteriorating health issues and consequently reduce hospital admissions for the client.
